Cookie Policy
Last updated:
This page lists everything this website stores in your browser. It is a short list, and we intend to keep it that way. For what happens to the data itself, see the Privacy Policy.
The short version
Until you answer the banner, this site stores nothing in your browser and contacts no third party. Analytics is not merely switched off before you choose — the analytics code is never fetched at all. If you decline, it stays that way.
What gets stored
| Name | Set by | Purpose | Expires | Needs consent |
|---|---|---|---|---|
ethica_consent |
This site | Remembers your answer to the cookie banner, and when you gave it, so we do not ask again on every page — and so we can show that the choice was made. | 180 days | No — strictly necessary |
| Cloudflare Turnstile challenge data | Cloudflare, on challenges.cloudflare.com |
Short-lived data the anti-spam check needs to tell a person from a bot. Loaded only on the homepage, where the contact form is, and never on this page. | Session | No — strictly necessary |
_ga |
Google Analytics | Assigns your browser a random identifier so repeat visits are counted as one visitor rather than several. | 2 years | Yes |
_ga_MZJ84QNXZG |
Google Analytics | Keeps the state of your current visit for the same property. | 2 years | Yes |
That is the whole inventory. We run no advertising, remarketing or conversion tracking, and there are no third-party cookies here beyond the two Google Analytics ones above.
Strictly necessary, and why
Two of the four need no consent, because the site cannot do what you asked without them:
ethica_consentexists because you were asked. Without somewhere to record the answer, the only alternative is to ask again on every page — and to have no record that you ever said no.- Turnstile is what stands between a public form and a flooded mailbox. Without it the form could not be published.
Neither is used to recognise you across sites, and neither is shared for advertising.
Changing your mind
Select Cookie settings at the bottom of any page. That clears your stored choice immediately and asks again, so declining after having accepted stops analytics from loading on the next page you open.
Withdrawing is exactly as easy as consenting, by design — and refusing is a single click in the banner, in a button the same size as the one that accepts.
You can also clear or block cookies in your browser directly:
Blocking ethica_consent in your browser means the banner reappears on every
page, because there is then nowhere to record that you answered it.
If this list changes
Adding anything to the table above means asking you again, not quietly extending a consent you gave for something else. The stored choice carries a version, and changing what we load invalidates every existing answer.
